HOW DO I GET PERMISSION TO USE A BUILDING 429 SONG?

For permission to use songs from Space In Between Us (2004 & 2005), Rise (2006), and Iris to Iris (2007):

If you are using a song in a worship service, you need a church copyright license through CCLI. Most likely your church already has this, and as long as the annual license is current, you have permission to use songs Building 429 (if your church or organization does not have a CCLI license nor plans to get one, please see the next paragraph).

For all other commercial and non-commercial use (using a song in a promotional video, recording a Building 429 song on your worship team’s CD, etc.) you will need to obtain a mechanical license.

There are three ways you can submit a request for a mechanical license:

1. Through the following website: http://www.musicservices.org
2. By email: word@musicservices.org
3. By fax: 615-371-1351

Please note that the fastest way to get permission is through the website, looking at 2-3 business days. For email and fax, it takes about 2-3 weeks.

For permission to use songs from Building 429 (2008):

If you’re planning on using a Building 429 song in a worship service, see the above for information on CCLI licenses. The same rules apply here as well.

For all other commercial and non-commercial use (using a song in a promotional video, recording a Building 429 song on your worship team’s CD, etc.) you will need to obtain a mechanical license.

To submit a request for a mechanical license, please visit:
http://www.integritymusic.com/copyright

If your application is approved for licensing, you will receive a license within 4-6 weeks. If they are unable to grant permission for the use described in your application, they will let you know within 2 weeks.
